Cats
I’m not on campus a lot this semester, but when I do venture into the abyss I’ve noticed one big change - Cats. There are cats like… everywhere! Whenever I walk down to the library a whole mess of ‘em always pop up and scamper across the sidewalk. They’re adorable, and stray, and probably living in the construction zone of the science buildings.
Anyway, I realized that I love being greeted by cats when I walk places, so I’ve come up with a list of places on campus where I should be seeing cats:
- Jumping from rooftop to rooftop
- Jumping off rooftops
- Having sex in the bushes
- Trailblazing wherever I go
- Playing cat games on the college green (i.e. Duck Duck Cat-Goose, Cat-Freeze Tag, Limbo-Cat, Catch, etc.)
- On my shoulder (I will call that one Catty)
- Teaching at least one class (a whole slew of cats… one cat can’t teach a class, duh)
- Howling on fence tops at night, under the light of the full moon
Okay… maybe some of these are a little farfetched, but I can dream. Cats are awesome when they’re an unexpected cuddly surprise. (Clearly, I am against cat-abortions.)
